Our Story

Jimmy Barnes, our first and only son, was born on December 15th, 1986. He filled our lives, along with everyone else’s, with so much joy. He came into this world with strawberry-blonde hair to match his fiery personality and love for life. His spunk, energy, and hilarious nature were one of a kind. He loved so strongly and was fiercely loyal to his childhood sweetheart and wife, his two younger sisters, and numerous other friends and family.

Jimmy had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone especially those he loved or for those in need. He was the best big brother and the friend you always wanted around. He loved hunting, fishing, motorcycles, tattoos, and anything else that involved fun and outdoors. His smile and laugh could fill the room.

Tragically, on December 22nd, 2017, Jimmy was taken from us due to an accidental overdose involving Xanax laced with fentanyl. Our lives forever changed that day, but we won’t let that be the end of Jimmy’s story. We want to honor Jimmy and all he brought to our lives by helping other people the way he always did.

Addiction is running rampant in our country and touching families everywhere—but the people caught in it are still someone’s child, someone’s loved one, and they deserve to be seen with compassion and dignity.

Our mission is to bring joy, hope, and light to those who feel forgotten. Jimmy had a gift for making people feel instantly loved—like they mattered the moment he walked in the room.

We carry that same love forward, sharing the light he gave us with as many hearts as we can, in every way we can.
